Well, here we go — my second crack at infrared photography. On Wednesday morning, before work, I took a stroll along the Yarra River heading toward the Melbourne CBD, snapping random shots along the way.

Infrared photos love bright sunlight and strong contrast. The colours and brightness you see in the shots don’t show the actual colours — they show how well things reflect infrared light. Leaves, for example, reflect it really well, so they come out white or pink. People’s faces also show up as a kind of milky white. Stuff that doesn’t give off much infrared light looks dark or blue. Anyway, here it is:

Инфракрасный Мельбурн

Ну вот, подошла вторая попытка инфракрасной фотографии. В среду утром перед работой я прогулялся по берегу речки Ярры в направлении центра Мельбурна, щелкая по дороге что попало.

ИК фото любят яркое солнце и контрасты. Цвета и яркость предметов на снимке означают не их реальный цвет, а насколько хорошо они отражают инфракрасные волны. Листва, например, отражает очень хорошо, поэтому она белая или розовая. Лица людей тоже видны как молочно-белые. А что ИК не излучает особо, то видно как темное и синее. Короче, вот оно:
